The Village has teamed up with LØUCO Health & Avalon Pilates to bring you a session dedicated to women’s & postpartum health & wellbeing.

We’re excited to collaborate with brilliant women-owned businesses and expert practitioners around International Women’s Day to create time & space to focus on an area which often gets overlooked or ignored by most – and as mums, how often do we let our own needs slip to the bottom of the pile?

We invite you to join us for an afternoon focused on YOU – with expert knowledge to empower & inform, specialist movement to nourish & strengthen, and community connection to help fill your cups…

The Details

The afternoon will combine EDUCATION through discussion with expert practitioners on our postpartum recovery, health, & wellbeing; with MOVEMENT via specialised Postnatal Reformer Pilates & Barre classes in the tranquil & supportive setting of the Avalon studios; and most importantly COMMUNITY, connecting you with other brilliant women on the wild ride of motherhood whilst LØUCO help to fuel us post work-out with shakes made with their protein supplements designed to meet the unique nutritional needs of women.

Education

With the experts we’ll be chatting all things postnatal recovery (however you had your baby!); pelvic floor & diastasis; postpartum nutrition and how to fuel yourself in this important period (including supplements & macronutrient needs); return to exercise; as well as your longer- term health & wellbeing post babies and more!

Mum to 2, Rachel is a respected Women’s Health and Fitness Coach specialising in Pelvic Health, an ambassador for the Active Pregnancy Foundation & co-founder of LØUCO. As a leading specialist in pre- and post-natal corrective exercise, Rachel brings in-depth expertise in women’s health, particularly in strengthening core and pelvic floor muscles to help women recover safely and effectively. With a strong foundation in evidence-based techniques, Rachel is skilled at addressing issues like diastasis recti and pelvic floor dysfunction. Rachel’s holistic approach focuses on rebuilding functional strength, allowing women to regain confidence and achieve lasting results without the fear of injury or setbacks.

Clare is a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist & most importantly a mum of 2. She worked in the NHS extensively before moving into private practice and has a particular passion in supporting women during pregnancy and after birth, helping them to seek treatment for any pain or pelvic floor dysfunction they experience. Having lived pregnancy and the postnatal experience Clare knows what a precious but also vulnerable and sometimes lonely experience it can be.

Dr Jo is a Women’s Health Doctor with over 15 years of experience in medicine and research, co-founder of LØUCO, and mum to 1 small person. Holding a PhD in Women’s Health she is a leading authority in the field and her expertise is widely recognised, with multiple published scientific works and recognition from Tatler. Jo is passionate about translating cutting-edge epigenetic research into practical, effective solutions that support women’s physiology, hormonal balance, and long-term health – not just for them, but for future generations.

Isobel is a registered Nutritional Therapist (DIPCNM, BANT, CNHC) and Certified Fertility Practitioner at the Fertility Nutrition Centre. She supports couples wherever they are on their fertility journey, through pregnancy and the postpartum period. A mother of two herself, Isobel supports mothers throughout pregnancy, helping them to feel their best and avoid pregnancy-related conditions, helping them prepare for labour and the postpartum period. Her support extends beyond reconnecting clients with food; it touches on all areas of their lives, from how they live to how they breathe, move, de-stress, and sleep, reconnecting them with their bodies, helping women work with their hormones, preserve their fertility and get the most from their life. She practices personalised, evidence-based nutrition, providing the tools to support you and your family’s health for the future.

Movement

Avalon’s specialist trainers will be running x2 tailored classes for us – Postnatal Reformer Pilates & Mums & Bubs Barre – offering tailored support and designed to help with aspects such as pelvic floor, core, mobility and strength. There are x13 reformer spots available and x10 barre spots up for grabs – they will be offered on a first come first served basis and you will need to select your preference when purchasing your ticket below.

Community

Community is at the heart of The Village and all of our events aim to build community across ages and stages of motherhood. After the expert masterclass & movement sessions we’ll be breaking for some social time; LØUCO will be making up shakes (and we’ll bring cakes!) for all to enjoy using their science-backed protein powders & nutrient blends which have been expertly formulated for women (and importantly, safe to use when pregnant & breastfeeding!). There will be goody bags for everyone with amazing bits from our brand partners (including some very lovely Avalon Pilates socks) and we’ll have the brilliant Rose Nannies on site to help look after the smalls, so that you can take some time to look after yourself with the knowledge that they are safe and at hand.
